1985 Toyota Supra 2.8L inl 6

Summary:

A car you can be happy with for 20 years!!!

Faults:

Nothing, but routine maintenance items.

General Comments:

I have always enjoyed this car. As the years went by and all cars began to look the same it became increasingly stylish and distinctive. It has always been fun to drive and practical in all weather, but nasty snow storms. I've since also owned a 300ZX turbo and a BMW 5 series, but have always loved the Celica Supra the best. I hope to keep it going another 5 years!

1985 Toyota Supra P-type 2.8L inline 6

Summary:

A race car you can use in real life as well

Faults:

In my three years and over 30,000 miles of ownership, nearly nothing went wrong with this car. I had to replace the gas tank when it got it, because a small hole had rusted in it about half way up. Other than that, regular oil and filter changes were the only things I had to put into it.

General Comments:

While the horsepower (167 stock) may no longer be impressive compared with the cars manufactured today, the suspension and steering still make this an outstanding ride.

Everyone expects a Supra to be a high performance car. Everyone knows that Toyotas are bulletproof. The surprise with this car is how utilitarian it is. The rear seats, while not good for a long trip, are certainly large enough for adults to ride in while driving around town. These seats also fold down, which, along with the large hatch, makes for an astounding ability to move large items around in the back of this sports car.

A number of little touches make this car truly a joy to operate. The driver's seat is one of the most comfortable ever. There are little lights positioned wherever you might want or need one. There are sprayers to clean off the headlights.

All in all, it's a fun car to drive and surpisingly practical.

Hi my name is Brian and I own a 85 supra and it is worth its weight. I just got a j-spec engine for it and nothing has went wrong with it yet. it is now a 3.0L 7MGE car. I have a j-spec transmission as well. right now I'm at 369.09 horsepower and steady climbing.

I have had my 85 supra for 10 years. It has 155,000 miles on it. A few repairs here and there, but all in all pretty good. Great car to drive though, the details are great. Anyway, I need a new gas tank, where did you get yours?

Hi my name is Bela and I just got my 85 Toyota Supra. I just put in a 2 jay z twin turbo, just great, it's at 350 hp. It's a beautiful car and I mean it.

Right now it is at 170,000 and there's nothing wrong with it; just the suspension needs to be replaced, and that is it.

A wonderful car.
