1974 Triumph 1500 1.5

Summary:

The biggest lemon I ever owned

Faults:

What didn't go wrong? Constant problems.

It spent a couple of days per week at the local dealer being repaired. It was only three years old.

General Comments:

I got this car as a high school graduation present. It was definitely a head-turner and fun... at first, but was an incredibly slow, poor-performing car. My mother's VW bug was faster.

These cars are very, very small.

Two weeks after I sold it, the new owner called, furious that he'd just found out it needed $1500 worth of work done. Buyer beware!

I suppose if I owned it now with my current mechanical knowledge, I could work on it myself; but given the tiny engine and overall size, I wouldn't be interested.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No
