2020 Volkswagen Passat SE 2.0 4 cylinder turbo
Summary:
A Good Value at $7000 below MSRP
Faults:
None.
General Comments:
Smooth ride. The 6 speed Tiptronic transmission shifts smoothly. My insurance went down because of all of the safety features. It has adaptive cruise control, rain sensing wipers, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring and backup camera. Also has lots of leg room in the back seat. Visibility is good.

VW have already announced that Passat is gone from N American market after the 2022 model year.

It’s better off dead. The final NA Passat felt closer to a pre-bailout Buick than a classic Volkswagen, and had languished on the market for ten years. In that time, VW offered the CC and then the Arteon alongside it, each suggesting that a personality was going to require a premium. As it was, the Passat was just tarnishing its own legacy.

They are very nice cars, the Passat has been with us since the late 1970s though, I hope VW does not discontinue it as some manufacturers are doing with some models that have been around for a long time. I really like traditional saloon/sedan 4 door type cars.
