1977 Dodge Aspen Estate 3.7 petrol

Summary:

American rust bucket

Faults:

Rust, rust and then more rust

General Comments:

Drove like new, mechanically barely broken in. Interior like new.

However, it was rusty beyond belief. Both front fenders had big holes in them. Bumpers completely rusted out. Doors had severe rust. It was structurally sound, but looked really bad, like a 20 year old beater.

Got a friend to fabricate new bumpers that fitted, they looked pretty good. New fenders and welded new sections into the doors.

Resprayed most of the car and sold it.

Rust proofing on this car was a complete joke, probably the worst I've seen, and believe me, cars from the 70ies rusted badly.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
