1992 Honda Legend 3.2 V6

Summary:

Best car I ever had

Faults:

Radiator replaced at 327 000.

ECU and a lot of wiring changed after a water leak from the sunroof.

2 cylinders had only 50% compression.

Transmission failed at 330 000.

AC never worked, maybe out of gas. Never cared to get it fixed.

General Comments:

Beautiful and fast car, a lot of power and handles very good. The first week I had the car, I used a tank of petrol a day. I never got it under 7,5L/100km. Expensive insurance and expensive parts. As long as I had it, I never saw another one. Maybe not the best daily driver.

I blew the radiator when on vacation in the Norwegian mountains, and the sunroof started leaking, causing a LOT of water to collect on the floor, and breaking the ECU. I had to re-do a lot of the wiring for it, and buy a used ECU (retail price at 1000£!)

The transmission blew when I was driving like a idiot; not the car's fault.

Faulty head gasket is common on these cars. Mine had only 50% compression on 2 cylinders, but still ran smooth and quick.

Ended up selling it, since a transmission rebuild would be 4000£.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
