2007 Mazda 6 Touring Station Wagon 2.0 diesel

Summary:

Build-quality to the bone!

Faults:

None.

General Comments:

Well-behaved on the road - sporty setup of the springs.

Diesel-engine pulls like a train (320 Nm/2000 rpm), though not the most fuel-efficient of the diesel-breed.

The engine is rather noisy at low speed - especially when you accelerates. Less recognisable at greater speeds.

Compared with my previous 2001 VW Passat, the interior in the Mazda feels much more robust and a quality-feel I never felt in the somewhat fragile Volkswagen.

We bought the 6 diesel wagon last year at what seemed like a good price; about 10% more than the Golf (which is a fair bit smaller). We both love driving it and appreciate the styling. Only 3500 kms on the clock since we got it brand new. So far it has fulfilled all our expectations, although average consumption according the trip computer is over 8L/100km. That's way above the claimed combined consumption. Hopefully it will come down as it runs in? The only things I would have liked, might be a sunroof and seat rail endcaps; small matters in light of such a great car. hopefully I can pry it away from the wife for a good fast run up a winding road.

Summary:

No problems - ZOOM ZOOM!

Faults:

Nothing, absolutely nothing.

General Comments:

Agile, nifty car, feels and handles like a smaller car would. Grips like glue in corners - and this is a wagon! I love it.

2002 Mazda 6 Exclusive 1.8 petrol

Summary:

I love it!

Faults:

-Sound from the trunk and from one of the front seats.

-Little strange sound from the engine on low RPM (500-1000 RPM).

All this was easily fixed by the dealer.

General Comments:

This is a very good and reliable car.

It looks cool and sporty, among boring VW and Toyota models. The car is a head turner, and people really like this car here in Norway.

Great handling, very fun to drive! Nice interior, nice to look at and easy to use. A great family car, highly recommended.

Engine: 1.8, 120 hp. Strong enough, and one of the best in its class.

2002 Mazda 6 Exclusive 1.8

Summary:

Highly recommendable

Faults:

The back window is occasionally not being defrosted.

One of the headlights had a non-working height adjustment motor which we had to replace.

General Comments:

Very pleasurable and good driving experience - very comfortable and steady on the road.

The comfort is very good. The interior is good looking as well as being warm.

The cruise drive is working perfectly, but it has a jerky feel to it. Otherwise it is an excellent car that I have not problem recommending to customers that want a really good car for their money.
