Faults:

Replaced front brakes.

Carburetor a bit temperamental when cold, never bothered fixing it.

Rust like it was no tomorrow, complete crazy.

General Comments:

Got it from my grandfather, paid about 800 Euro for it then (8000 NOK). It looked like new inside, but a bit smelly since he smoked a pipe and had 2 hunting dogs that always followed him. Incredible cool car, 2 door coupe, I thought it looked sporty. Not much wrong with it either, main issue was the carburetor in the winter, you had to idle it for a couple of minutes until it ran normal. Before that it would run uneven.

The major issue with it was rust. Completely crazy. He had it partially repainted when it was 2 years old, but the rust would pop up absolutely everywhere, there were even rust spots on the roof. Sills and inner wings started to get badly corroded when I bought it. I sprayed it with saw chain oil and grease to stop it. So it was structurally safe, but looked really scruffy. Lost interest and sold it to a mate that wrecked it the first week he owned it.

Actually a bit uncertain about what this model was called. I know it was called Lancer Celeste in some markets. But people called it Colt here. The badge on the coupe just said Celeste as far as I can remember.

Faults:

I have had to replace the shock absorbers. They had not been replaced since new!

General Comments:

I bought this car for a meager 1800 Euro (CHEAP in Norway).

I have driven 30000km with it. Zero problems.

It always starts, and it is a good winter car!

Faults:

There is a little bit of rust around the fenders. Rust and corrosion seems to be a problem for these cars. Otherwise the only thing wrong with it is the door handle for the trunk. This is a station wagon.

General Comments:

I'm was very pleased with the car, even though I haven't owned it for a long time.

The stereo system is HORRIBLE though, and should be swapped out.

Relatively comfortable, with A/C, heated seats, electric windows, mirrors, locks etc.

The 1.6 liter engine does well enough. I wasn't expecting much at all, and I am a little bit positively surprised at its performance. Still, it is only about 112 HP.
