2009 Suzuki Ignis 1.3

Summary:

A fun, reliable and cheap to run car

Faults:

Rear brake pads needed replacement.

Crack in front windshield, but this really isn't down to the car, just poor luck.

General Comments:

A funny little 4x4.

It starts, it heats up nicely in the winter, it runs, and it's capable of takin me to and from town on crappy roads.

The suspension is extremely stiff, which you really feel when driving on crappy roads. The seats are just as stiff, but I don't mind. You sit higher up than you'd think when seeing the car from the outside. It doesn't feel small when you're inside of it, which is good.

The car feels incredibly slow, but this may be because of me previously driving a tuned Seat Leon Cupra.

The interior of the car feels cheap, and it feels like it's a much older car, which I personally like. I will try to keep this post up to date as time goes by, to see if this car truly is reliable, but so far, I really like it.

I had one, fantastic little car, very reliable.

2008 Suzuki Ignis Sport AWD 1.3 petrol

Summary:

Gets you nearly everywhere in wintertime

Faults:

Absolutely nothing.

General Comments:

In rural Norway, with snow from sometimes halfway October, getting serious in January, and lasting well into May, some consider four-wheel drive an absolute must. And although the Ignis has an extremely simple 4x4 system, the car certainly delivers, especially in wintertime!

Suzuki has supposedly stopped producing the Ignis and discontinued sales in most countries worldwide.

In Norway however you can still obtain this small AWD-car new, and it is a very popular relatively 'inexpensive' wintercar choice in this horrendously expensive country (well relatively inexpensive means that at NOK 219000(!!) it is one of the cheapest 4x4 you can buy).

Imagine an Ignis AWD with studded tyres on snow! Unstoppable!

It's a pity Suzuki has discontinued the model...

Update:

The car has covered 40000 km now, and still feels like new. No issues up to now whatsoever. Will keep driving.
