2006 Suzuki Cultus VXL 1.0 SOHC carbed

Summary:

Only buy the VXL

Faults:

Assalam o alaikum.

Nothing went wrong, even after 35000km of rash driving, except loss of paint gloss.

I inspect engine, plugs, oil leak and change the oil at every 800km.

Try to buy a VXL because it has lot better parts than the VXR. It's my personal experience, believe me.

Forget about minor factory problems like wheel balancing, alignment, these are common in the whole world.

General Comments:

It handles better than its rivals.

Acceleration is satisfactory, but doesn't match the Santro (Patrol).

Rpm meter is a unique feature in its class.

AoA.

Hey I agree that its best car in its class. Bcz of its handling, acc and space. It gives the feeling of sedan. But in long drive absence of headrest at rear causes pain in neck, but its ac let us to forget about every thing. Which is better than our previous corola 2.D..Perfomance wise its satisfactory. But don't pick good start at 2nd gear.

2006 Suzuki Cultus VXR 1.0 CC

Summary:

Not a value for money, at all. Not Recommended

Faults:

Car heated up when AC was used.

Petrol lid could not be closed.

Gas and Petrol were getting mixed up.

Gas safety valve satarted leaking.

General Comments:

The very first time I started AC, after few minutes, car started heating up. I brought it to Suzuki dealers the next day, and found out that fan was not working.

Similarly the very first day, when I opened the petrol lid, it refused to close down, which had to be fixed as well.

When I used to drive it on CNG, it gave me very uncomfortable drive. I got it checked from Suzuki workshop, but couldn't get fixed. Then thanks to someone's advice, a cng expert mechanic found out that petrol and gas were being mixed, some hose/part was missing to separate them.

Nearly around 5000 km, I started feeling gas smell. again got it checked from the dealers workshop, they found no problem. Next day, at the cng gas filling station, their worker found out that its safety valve was leaking, and had to be replaced.

Yesterday, one of the fuses went wrong, no light of either cng or petrol. I got held up in the middle of the way, had to call some one, brought a mechanic and got it fixed.
