1997 Volkswagen Polo 1,7 SDI 1.7 diesel

Summary:

Nice little car

Faults:

82000 km: Engine was turning off. One electronic module needed to be replaced. I paid about. 80 PLN ($25)

97000 km: Car made a strange noise. Exhaust system needed to be repaired

110000 km: One part in one rear break (drum breaks) needed to be replaced because break fluid was flowing out. It cost about 50 PLN ($15)

116000 km: Windscreen Wipers was turning on without any reason. The switch (or something like that) needed to be replaced/repaired (My brother did it so I don't know exactly :) )

General Comments:

This is nice car, fun and quite cheap to drive.

Fuel consumption is about 6 l/100km (39 mpg) in the city and 4.5 - 5 l/100km (47 - 52 mpg) on highway (Diesel Fuel)

This car has 60 HP. It is enough in the city, but on the highway I would like to have more power

Although this car isn't big it is comfortable and roomy inside. I am 186 cm (6'1") and it is OK for me

One little thing I don't like in this car, is the lack of Cup holders.

I think that this car is better than most of its competitors.

1991 Volkswagen Polo cl 1.0 petrol

Summary:

Very excellent car

Faults:

Nothing much wrong has happened with the car while I've had I still it!!!.

Except for the usual the a new battery and light globes.

General Comments:

IT is a dynamic car and very comfortable and it won't break in the near future. Volkswagen is a very good car becouse its German not French citroen breaks very easily and has expensive parts, but Volkswagen doesn't have very expensive parts and it doesn't break as easily as a French car and is a very cheap car to run.

Actually, new(ish) Citroen's often have a better build quality than VW's. Parts are also cheaper for Citroen's.
