1990 Honda Concerto 1.6i-16 1.6 DOHC 16v

Summary:

A reliable and (very) fast Japanese sedan!

Faults:

Few things have gone wrong with this car, considering its age and kilometers. Just some parts related with front wheels transmission and suspension.

The air/admission controller had a small problem that made the car running at 1500 rpm during a minute or so, after runing above 3000 rpm.

General Comments:

Probably the best family/sports car ever made at that time. Honestly, until 1994, I have never seen any car that, at the same time, offered not only the room for 5 adults and and quite a big "what's it called?" (the back space for luggage, sorry, I'm Portuguese), a high level of standard equipment: air conditioned, power steering, electrics locks, electric sun roof and mirrors, disc brakes all-round, etc.. as well as terific performances.. My car still makes 0-100km/h in less than 9 sec, with an amazing feeling most cars still don't have today.. up to 7200rpm, when it cuts.. Top speed, I've never been interested on that, even tough, 210 km/h is enough? =)

Besides it's low and well built chassis turns it easy to drive, safe and racing. As someone said, it literally glues to the ground, and it isn't too under steering as most front wheel drive cars... You just have to be determined when you enter a corner, take of your foot a bit from the right pedal, and it'll compensate with the rear.. Fabulous!

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Please can anybody tell what to do about ALB lights for Honda concerto I don't know what it means.

Other than that I am enjoying the car considering the age.

Send your suggestion via ideleuwa@yahoo.com.

Thank you.
