2005 Suzuki Ignis Sport 1.5 petrol VVT

Summary:

Probably the best sports hatchback for this price

Faults:

Gear box still pretty raw, sometimes the first and the last gear couldn't engage till you clutch in and clutch out again for a couple of times.

General Comments:

Very lightweight, therefore very fun to throw into corners.

The seats are kind of high.

The steering wheel is a tad too big.

Fold down rear seats are very useful.

Despite it's small size, the turning radius is actually not that small.

Very fun to drive, I really enjoy overtaking people in the corners.

Engine is torquey even at low revs. I can easily overtake on the expressways on fifth gear.

Short wheel base plus stiff dampers makes it pretty uncomfortable over humps. But this combination is what gives confidence driving fast round bends.

For Singaporeans, this is really the best car to buy if you want a sporty drive under 65K. And it's insurance group is under wagons!

2001 Suzuki Ignis GL 1.3

Summary:

A bike's engine in a car

Faults:

My battery failed within the first 3 week. The tire wear out on one side in the next few months. I had to change all tires and re-align the wheels.

General Comments:

A fun car, but the engine performance still has a lot to improve.
