1998 Peugeot 406 Si 3.0 V6

Summary:

Sports car in disguise with Toyota reliability

Faults:

Climate control display.

Drivers electric window gets stuck.

Camshaft oil leak.

Fuel had to be replaced twice.

Power steering pump.

Icy road warning sounds all the time, even when it's hot.

Central locking motor.

General Comments:

Very spacious.

Love the look of the car; the low front and high boot line.

For a french car, it has been very reliable, and has only let me down once.

Porsche in disguise. It's seriously quick and shockingly fuel efficient for a 3.0 V6.

People are shocked when you come flying past them on the freeway.

2000 Peugeot 406 SLi 2.0

Summary:

Extremely good value for money

Faults:

Nothing.

General Comments:

This car is fuel-efficient and has very low overall running costs.

It handles extremely well on dirt-road surfaces.

Its level of reliability is the best I have experienced in any car over the last 30 years.

In my view it is one of the best looking cars on the road.

1997 Peugeot 406 Si 2.0

Summary:

The 406 (D7) is the most attractive car on the road

Faults:

Absolutely nothing went wrong with the car.

I did have an accident, but we cannot of course blame the car for that.

General Comments:

Best car I have ever owned.

The D7 shape is far better than the D9 externally.

Resale value is superb.
