2001 Volvo C70 T5 2.3

Summary:

A joy to own and drive

Faults:

Engine oxygen sensors x2.

Engine ignition coils x3.

Coolant bottle cracked.

Brake discs needed replacing at 115000km.

Driver's seat worn, but decent leather care helps.

Centre speaker crackled and buzzed - eventually turned it off.

Headlight wipers died.

Sunroof rails rattled.

Rear window seal/strip was slowly decomposing.

General Comments:

What a pleasure of a car, which truly lived up to its reputation as an grand tourer - she loved the open road. The seats are seriously comfy. Fuel consumption falls dramatically in highway driving.

Turning circle and speed of the electric seats are the only real insults I ever leveled at her.

Considering her age when we bought her, maintenance and care was surprisingly reasonable.

She proved worth every cent when written off in an accident - not sure I'd be typing this if I had not been in a Volvo. RIP ducky!

Only reason we are not buying another C70 is because we want a better offroad vehicle - XC70 it will be.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
