There is a big difference between this engine and the old engine. The 2.7 CRD is a lot quieter and gear change is a lot smoother. The Quadra-trac system is also a very good addition to the car. The new engine possesses 23 hp more than the previous engine and is noticeable. The 2003 model still retains its comfort aspect with more than enough leg-room for passengers in the back. I own the 2.7 CRD Laredo Vermont the car still maintainsd its style and is a head turner wherever you go.

Have just purchased used 2003 CRD Grand Cherokee, it has 18,000klms on it and I have only had it for a few days, but so far no problems, I love it so far, will let you know if I have any problems!
1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 3.1 turbo diesel
Great second-hand buy if it has low mileage
Tyres change at 40,000 km.
Brakes changed at 40,000 km.
Electric side mirror changed 3 times.
Excessive shaking (now fixed)
Brakes changed at 60,000 km.
I am very happy with this car as I use it as my work vehicle. It is very comfortable and the diesel version is not bad on fuel consumption.
I have had this car for 3 years now and have had no major problems as such even though I don't think this car is worth its cost price now.
99% OF PEOPLE ARE IMPRESSED BY THIS VEHICLE. The acceleration was surprising for a vehicle of its weight. This car is a very good car as a 2nd-hand buy with low mileage.
