Comfortable and practical. Not without its problems
Faults:
I had to replace the gearbox, even though it was manual. There were countless problems with the clutch; it caused the transmission to lock up and prevented the car from starting.
The HDi engine suffers from recurring turbocharger problems due to oil carbonization or lubrication failures.
Leaks or wear in the air suspension bellows, which leaves the rear end sagging.
Problems with the diesel fuel lines preventing the engine from starting correctly.
The small motors that regulate the flow of hot and cold air often break, leaving an area without proper climate control.
Unexpected warning lights on the dashboard.
Wear on the front windshield wiper motors.
General Comments:
The car is attractive and stylish, both inside and out.
Its standout feature is comfort; the seats resemble first-class airline seats more than standard car seats, offering comfort thanks to the plush cushioning of the seat base and backrest, as well as the height-adjustable center armrests. The front seats feature electric controls for height, tilt, fore-and-aft positioning, backrest angle, and lumbar support; combined with the height- and reach-adjustable steering wheel, these allow for the perfect driving position.
Furthermore, since the gear selector is mounted on the steering column, there is a large amount of space between the two front seats, allowing a small bag to be placed there.
It features a high level of equipment, including four-zone automatic climate control. The front controls are located on the dashboard adjacent to the doors, one on the left and one on the right, and both feature displays; the driver's side unit includes additional controls for viewing and adjusting temperature, airflow volume, air distribution, and recirculation. A smaller control panel with a display is provided for the rear seating area, allowing for the adjustment of temperature and fan speed.
In terms of safety, it features ABS with electronic brake-force distribution, emergency braking assist, ESP dynamic stability control, hill start assist, rear parking assist, volumetric and perimeter alarm, front airbags for driver and passenger, front side airbags, and curtain airbags.
It has excellent suspension and brakes; it is comfortable and easy to drive, and great for family trips—quiet and quite agile. The 1.6 HDi engine, despite having some issues typical of modern diesels, is quite powerful and handles the car's weight very well.
It is truly a very comfortable vehicle with excellent build quality, especially the interior, a smooth ride, and good cargo capacity. It has its issues, and spare parts aren't easy to find. Even so, it’s a good option for a family car. It isn't expensive, and it is quite economical.
