1999 Chrysler Grand Voyager LX 3.3 V6

Summary:

Best looker around with real image and extras at a cost of fuel

Faults:

Bought the car November 9th 2002 from Poole, Dorset, and already the parts department are saying they can't supply the mats to go inside,"no longer available worldwide" was our answer

Its 'T' reg, is that old.

General Comments:

The 3.3 v6 is the only one to have because of its size. The 2Ltr has no pulling power and is a false economy.

If your buying one remember it only does 20 miles to the gallon we found fast or slow driving.

We have 3 kids and another on the way and this is the Only mover for us.

(Looks the best in the school car park wives)

Men, with the 4 speed auto box its fast even all up.

I am the proud owner of a 2Ltr Voyager which does 30mpg (Town) and 40-50mpg (motorway). Mine has plenty of pulling power and I honestly think your mpg depends how you drive these vans.

Don't be put off the 2Ltr petrol model which is the one I have - it's the best motor I have driven in a lot of years.

1998 Chrysler Grand Voyager LE 3.3 V6

Summary:

Crap

Faults:

Faulty since day one.

Pulls to the left very badly and very dangerously.

Dealer had and used 5 opportunities to fix the defect, although they have always claimed that the vehicle is not faulty.

The manufacturer has recently had the vehicle for 11 weeks and claims that the defect has been cured, but has failed to report on what work they have done.

General Comments:

Do not touch Chrysler vehicles, they may be very attractive to look at and financially viable due to high spec levels, but they have very lousy build quality and appalling after sales service.

They have had a very bad name in the U.S. for many years now and have been fined on numerous occasions for failure to recall.

They are also known for carrying out cover up campaigns.
