1999 Daewoo Leganza SX 2.0 16v petrol

Faults:

Nothing. The car has a 3yr 60k warranty so if anything was to go wrong it wouldn't be a problem. I would also get a loan car free.

General Comments:

I have been lucky to have driven most manufacturers cars around this size and the Leganza was definitely the best value. Compared to some other makes it doesn't have the prestige but in a couple of years it will be up there. What's in a badge anyway, only snobbery.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I don't care about badge snobbery either (always driven Fords and Vauxhalls), but the Leganza is a pile of crap. Poorly made, inherently unreliable mechanics and now to add insult to injury, no manufacturer support any more! I don't count the "official" Vauxhall dealer route as they have no interest in the cars, don't keep parts in stock, and you have to argue with them to do anything apart from a basic service.

The first 40,000 of the 100,000 miles I covered in one was fine. After that it became a catalogue of breakdowns, ongoing niggling faults, component failures and the nagging doubt every time I started a journey that I would make it to the other end.

The old adage "You only get what you pay for" was never more relevant to anything than it is to this vehicle. Junk!
