I'm from Portugal. I own a Fiat Panda 750L. It's from 1987, I guess. It's one hell of a car but problems are something that rarely go away. light switches, hoses, rust spots and the whole electric system is something to forget. The horn (spelled right???) was the only thing that didn't make any noise, some time ago!!! However... I've been driving this car for three years now. It's been very fun but not as cheap as I wanted it to be!!! BYE.

Seems to be very difficult to find parts for my very first panda... looking to recondition my engine and can't find what I need in the UK... I see what people mean by the brakes in the wet, but you couldn't get better from a small car if you tried... boy racers eat your heart out getting away from traffic lights...BMW? PORSCHE? forget them give me a panda any day.

1987 Fiat Panda 1000 Super S/R 1.0 petrol

Faults:

Electrics shoddy (flicker on and off!).

Front tyres wear a bit quick (Took only 10 months from passing the MOT to becoming slick!)

Fan suddenly stopped working on motorway.

Brake calipers seized twice.

Two clutch cables broken.

General Comments:

Car has now done 80,000 miles and has passed the last two MOT's flawlessly. Definitely the cheapest car on the road (Group 1 insurance, 45+ MPG).

Engine surprisingly nippy and handling not too bad although suffers from understeer (Front slides before rear!)

An all round cheap car with a bit of fun.

1987 Fiat Panda CL 1.0 petrol

Faults:

Nothing at all!!!!

General Comments:

My car is so fine, it's so kind it makes me whine.

The Panda can be quite a fun car.

Fiat should update the Fiat Panda like VW are doing with the Beetle.

Everyone should have their own Fiat Panda.

1987 Fiat Panda CL 1.0 petrol

Faults:

Nothing much withstanding the age !

Usual servicing replacements.

General Comments:

A very fun car and cheap to run, the comfort lacks but I love the car, especially its sunroof.

Very surprising, was the very little rust that cropped out after 8 years, not usual for a Fiat. With a little care the body remains intact.

Its performance is very good for a 1.0.
