2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 2.7 CRD diesel

Summary:

Comfortable, relaxed and reliable

Faults:

Nothing.

Except it needed new wiper blades at the 12000 mile first service (at my expense).

General Comments:

Compared with a car it's slow, thirsty, noisy and doesn't ride well over broken and uneven surfaces (which we have a lot of in the UK).

But, as a 4x4...

It has very comfortable seats, enough space in the back for my three growing teenagers (and in the boot for the large and lively dog and a whole bunch of other stuff), hardly ever needs filling up with diesel (of course, its got a very large tank), will cruise all day at 95 mph (and I get out relaxed and fresh - well, more so than in any other vehicle I've used for the trip - after an 800 mile motorway journey to the south of France), the CD/radio is better than the Hi Fis that I've heard in quite a lot of houses, and (despite what it says elsewhere) nothing at all has gone wrong.

I've even taken it off road and (despite scaring me witless) it just worked.

Servicing isn't cheap, but the dealer I used was quick, polite and efficient.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
