2005 Kia Magentis SE 2.0 petrol
Summary:
Poor
Faults:
Not much to be fair, was reliable enough when I had it. It was a company car for me at the time. I heard the guy that had it after me was not soo lucky - apparently the head gasket went not long after it was given to him and the car was scrapped by the company (not worth fixing, the car had such low value), but it was only 8 years old by then and had about 60K miles, which is poor going. Most cars have plenty life in them at that age and mileage, but not this car!
General Comments:
Was given this Magentis as a company car. Never liked it. Boring to drive. Ugly to look at with its bug eyed headlights. Silver exterior.
Inside was the only positive thing it had going for it. Full leather seats in black, very comfortable. Problem was on the motorway the cabin was noisy so you could never enjoy that luxury cruising feel. Ride was also poor. Cars like like profess to be executive cars but cannot cut it with the likes of similar cars from Ford, and certainly not German cars. My previous Ford Mondeo was better than this car in every way.
Fairly spacious inside. Boot was big.
Terrible on fuel, barely did 29 mpg. It was an automatic, but this was still poor. Not very fast either.
Just a mediocre car at best, that was cheap for a reason. I've heard the more modern Optima that replaced this Magentis is much better, but I'd still be skeptical.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know

The Magentis in the UK was a pretty poor car. Later Optima from about 2012 was much better though.
