Faults:

Engine block cracked after 10 months

Warning light constantly on

Engine block cracked again.

General Comments:

Engine block cracked after 10 months. Took it back to the dealership who advised me it was OK to drive. It sounded like a taxi cab. Had to call KIA Assistance next day who advised me I shouldn't have been driving it. They came and towed it back to the dealership. Repaired under warranty.

Warning light kept coming on so back to the dealership. Put on computer 5 points showed up. They wanted £60 per hour to find the fault. I got an independent auto electrician who cleared the fault for £70 time and parts. But he found oil was again leaking into the water system. Advised it was probably crack in the engine block. Again!

Phoned the dealership and customer services and was told would have to take it back to them to find out the problem. Here we go again £60 per hour. The last time it went in for the same problem I was told it would have cost me nearly £2000 if it had not been within the warranty time.

Definitely not happy, car is just 4 years old and had the same problem twice in that time and very low mileage done.

Was told by the customer service operator, who was not very helpful, that they 'might' pay towards the cost of the repairs if it is proved that there was a manufacturing fault with the first replacement. I would like to know how they are going to prove that!

Faults:

Absolutely nothing has gone wrong with the car so far, it has been a pleasure to drive.

General Comments:

The car is a very useful workhorse.

It pulls away with ease and the 2.9 power unit is more than adequate.
