Faults:

Not much has gone wrong.

The handle of the left door snapped off and cost a fair bit from Kia.

The headlight plastic was replaced due to being unclear.

This car has a very strong diesel scent, but this is typical with a diesel 4x4.

When we first bought the car, lots of things like the bumper had cracks in them; this included the license plate.

General Comments:

Very big and spacious. A great overall car. Very practical and relatively good on fuel.

The car not only looks good, but feels comfy.

The dashboard is quite dated, but it is a 9 year old car!

Faults:

I bought this Sorento, not knowing the transfer box was in trouble.

General Comments:

Very smooth and comfortable. A useful working 4x4.

Faults:

CD Auto-changer ceased to operate on channel 2.

General Comments:

Overall performance is excellent and I am generally very pleased with the car.

It tows my large caravan like a dream.

The big letdown is the fuel consumption which initially was about 22 miles per gallon which I was told was not surprising in a new car. After 12000 miles it is still only 26 miles per gallon after a careful brim to brim test on a motorway. Nothing like the 42 mpg quoted in the brochure. I understand that I do not drive at a steady 55mph as the testers do so would have been satisfied with a figure in the mid thirties. The dealer is carrying out a road test later this week. I await his results with interest.
