1974 Land Rover Range Rover 2.5i turbo diesel

Faults:

Water in fuel system needing new injectors and fuel pump; constantly leaking rear diff seal; dodgy fuses - washers refuse to work, wipers won't self park. Heater matrix leaked; master and slave clutch cylinders failed; clutch failed (app 70,000 miles); major welding of the chassis needed.

General Comments:

The TDi engine is a retro fit on a 24 year old Range Rover. It delivers a decent 29 miles to the gallon. The main problems are due to the age of the vehicle esp the electrics which are a nightmare, but what other vehicles are in otherwise excellent condition after 24 years. The Range Rover's off road capability is astonishing and for its age and price retains true style and credibility many new cars don't have.
