2017 Land Rover Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 diesel

Summary:

Reliable, fast and very nice to travel in, although (in the UK) its sheer size can be a problem

Faults:

Very occasionally, the Bluetooth will fail to link and the software for the “Infotainment” system can be a little buggy, and that’s all.

General Comments:

Very spacious and comfortable for the driver and front passenger; plenty of space in the back, but the seat squab is a little too firm. Superb ride, fair handling, reliable and well built from some very nice materials. Very quiet with superb performance and traction. Near unstoppable off road.

Great split tailgate, though a good deal less practical than my previous LR4/Discovery, which I miss in that respect.

Fuel consumption is fair and other running costs are reasonable for what it is, although first year depreciation is significant.

Difficult to park in UK sized spaces, huge width (and doors that are 11” thick) can make it impossible to get in and out. That width can be a big problem on narrow lanes too.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
