General Comments:

I've had this LDV Convoy for 4 years. And I'm struggling to change it for a newer van, I've grown a bond with it. It looks like absolute sh**e, but it just never gives up, even when the flywheel went, I felt sympathy for it, not angry. That is the only time it needed towing. Honestly they are great vehicles, they do what they are supposed to do. The steering is terrible, but I'm used to it now. I seriously keep thinking of taking it off the road and giving it some love, and maybe changing it into a camper, just so my partner will let me keep it on the drive.

I use it as my everyday vehicle at the moment, as it has 7 seats in it too. We have 5 kids. You try and find a 7 seater car with plenty of space in the back too, this is perfect. Towed our caravan too.

The Duratorq has been a great engine for me.

I love it and will cry if I ever have to sell it.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

They are iconic vans in the UK. Throughout the 80s and 90s every school/college bus I was on a trip with was in one of these. Funny, never knew their name until I searched after reading your review. Just remember the LDV badge. And "Leyland Daf" on really old ones. Good review, glad someone is still enjoying these vans, always get nostalgic when I see one on the road.

Every kid I knew that grew up in the 80's and 90's had a school trip in one of these vans.

Father said even he was in one in the 1970's, was called a Leyland Sherpa van back then I think.
