1999 Lexus RX 3.0 petrol/LPG

Summary:

Luxury

Faults:

Nothing engine wise. Exhaust, back box needed replacing for MOT.

General Comments:

This car is lovely to travel in. Luxury seating, & passengers remark at the marvelous leg room in the rear.

The only problem is, being an import, most switches are marked in Japanese, which I cannot seem to get interpreted, along with the GPS system, but I am willing to put up with that as I enjoy driving this car so much.

The dash unit is good & informative, with all dials clear & symbols, re engine etc, understandable. One small flick switch above the gear shift on the left is one I cannot find out what it does, no matter how much I try, but if anyone knows, could you let me know, as that does annoy me, but overall I love this car, & with LPG, it makes it cheap to run.

2003 Lexus RX 300 SEL 3.0 petyrol

Summary:

Outstanding

Faults:

The car has been absolutely first class.

We have not suffered any problems with the gearbox or gear change and at 20K miles the Bridgestone tyres are only half worn.

The only grumble has been superficial rust on the bonnet (replaced with no quibble) and the paint on the alloys peeling so all 4 were replaced.. again no grumbles.

And if you don't use it for 2/3 weeks and it has a tracker you will find the battery is flat when you want to start it... a pain.

General Comments:

It has exceeded all our expectations.

Quiet and smooth and a pleasure to drive.

For us the ride is perfect, but we don't off road.

Sat Nav is a bit dated and the cabin could do with a little bit of an uplift, but that's nothing. Go for it!
