2000 Mitsubishi FTO GPX 2.0 petrol

Summary:

Top car

Faults:

Nothing, bar the drivers seat wearing on the RHS.

General Comments:

Three years in, and every morning I get in this car it puts a smile on my face.

The exhaust has blown now, but I'm not in a hurry to fix it. 200 bhp letting loose kinda lets the boy racers know who is the top daddy around here. Stainless back box coming up.

Three years, 30,000 miles and repair bills of less than £5. This has to be a well built car.

If you want a pocket rocket at a bargain price, that will outdrive cars five times the price... well get one. You won't be disappointed.

200bhp with very little weight...£2k - 5k. I cannot believe you will get better metal for your money. Enjoy!!!

2000 Mitsubishi FTO GPX 2.0 V6

Summary:

Buy one

Faults:

After a year comes the MOT, the first test after a year in England. The result? 0.85p for a side light bulb.

Drivers seat is wearing a bit on the right hand side. It seems the metal frame is close to the cloth.

That's it. 18 months of pure fun. This is a reliable car.

General Comments:

I think I have got one of the last ones made/imported.

I got lucky maybe. A serious sports car for a rock bottom price. A 200 bhp go kart.

There are cars that travel faster.

There are cars with better acceleration.

But there are no cars in Lincolnshire to my knowledge that you can buy for £4-6k that stand a cat in hells chance of staying with it.

Try one, understand the power band - use the box. Feel safe with great handling on bendy roads. Work you way into that BTW LOL. You will run out of road or bottle before the car reaches its peak.

And the styling... muscle from the front. Most people see the back LOL.
