1984 Morris Marina SL 1.3

Summary:

Cheap n' cheerful motoring

Faults:

Very little. The clutch master cylinder started leaking.

The windscreen wiper motor burned out.

General Comments:

The car is hardly the last word in performance and refinement, but as an A to B car for somebody on a tight budget it is unbeatable.

I typically averaged between 35-42 mpg and once managed to squeeze 98 mph out of it.

The engine had been rebored at 100,000 miles by the previous owner and it lasted until 175,000 when the big ends went.
