Faults:

Radiator leaked.

Valve guides badly worn.

Bad water leak somewhere (floods interior)

Very juicy.

General Comments:

Not too bad a car.

Handles very well.

Takes a good thrashing.

Comfortable seats.

Would think it would have a bit more power being a 1.8 E.F.I turbo.

Faults:

Slight radiator hose leak.

Used to smoke, using Sainsburys fuel has fixed this though (was using shell)

General Comments:

I have had this car for a month and covered over 1200 miles in it and have enjoyed every moment.

It is extremely comfortable on long journeys and drives great on both twisty A-roads and motorways.

I would rather it was a saloon as they are better looking, but apart from that the car is great.

General Comments:

Excellent car, cost just £200, one previous owner, immaculate condition. You would think it was just off the production line, not a spot of rust anywhere.

The car isn't too hot on performance, but has plenty of power when you get to the top end of the revs (not having a tachometer stops me pushing it too hard)

Faults:

Nothing, although it has just had an MOT, costing me £450, but it was only the suspension worn out (it used to be a taxi). Not bad for 197,955 miles I don't think !!

General Comments:

I use the car for work 6 days a week, which is a 44 mile round trip on the motorway, the car uses no oil to talk of, and the water has never dropped below the full mark.

The car is Jet Black color, with alloy wheels (from a Primera), it looks good and is a pleasure to ride in.

I only wish the Primera was a match, but unfortunately it's no where close.

Faults:

Alternator, extreme rust on both rear wheel arches, power steering fluid small leak, fuel insertion cap had to be replaced.

General Comments:

I got it for only £500, I have owned it for two years and there have been few problems with it considering the miles. It starts immediately in all conditions every day, still most original parts, I use it for about 30 miles each day.

It is very comfortable and easy to drive with responsive steering and good acceleration and no slack in the gear box. I love it and would sell it for no less than £700 despite the rust.

Faults:

Electric windows fail, and are expensive to repair. Sunroof failed, and it was expensive to repair.

General Comments:

160,000, without any major problems!!!!!

Then failed m.o.t, and too expensive to repair. Dealer servicing very expensive. Excellent value for money, lots of fond memories, but it has to go, hope we can afford a new Primera!

Faults:

70,000 - needed new clutch.

88,000 - gearbox trouble (recon fitted), rear electric window failed.

180,000 - recon gearbox failed.

185,000 - cylinder head gasket leaking, corroded alternator connector, faulty windscreen wiper motor, handbrake ratchet broke.

210,000 - shock absorbers were really bad, leaking power steering rack.

General Comments:

A lot of trouble but a lot of mileage, the bodywork was excellent throughout, it withstood over 220,000 miles and 10 British winters.

Fun to drive, and with many nice features like all round electric windows, electric sunroof, elec mirrors, internal central locking switch, switch on/off passenger windows, power steering, reclining rear seats, free Blaunpunkt Stereo system (which was very good), electric aerial.

The free Nissan toolkit with spanners and screwdrivers was nice.

A very comfortable car too.

Faults:

The tape deck wasn't used for nine years, so it got a bit fluff-filled.

A fuel feed problem developed very recently, but it was fixed by one visit to the dealer.

The lid fell off the compartment between the front seats, but I put it back on. Shucks.

General Comments:

So it will always be a minicab car. It's still responsive and spacious, built like a breeze-block urinal and despite the fact that it has the smallest engine that was available for them at that time, it still shifts (top speed about 98-101mph depending on what mood it's in, reasonable take-off but slooow between 30 and 60).

Short, precise gear shift. Power steering doesn't muffle your sensation of the road, but can feel a bit flighty cornering above 50mph. Not dangerously flighty, but still. Good visibility for a car this size - the nose is just curved enough that it doesn't obstruct your vision of the immediate road, but you can peer at it in a tight parking situation.

And, of course, the toys. PAS I mentioned before. Now add electric windows front and back, electric sunroof, electric aerial, Blaupunkt stereo (4 speakers, not standard on many cars of that age). Adjustable steering column and front seats. Probably a bunch of other things I've forgotten.

It's just celebrated its 10th birthday, and it has (garsp) 2 rust spots. One on the driver's side door sill, the other below the fuel filler.
