1993 Nissan Skyline GTS-t 2.5 inline 6 cylinder turbo

Summary:

If you can afford to fuel one, it's a lot of car for the money

Faults:

Hate to jinx it, but nothing as yet.

General Comments:

Awesome performance for a 2.5 litre engine.

To drive it, it feels very expensive as it feels so smooth and comfortable, yet at the same time firm and sporty...

The 2.5t is very light for its size at only 1370kg... as it's rear wheel drive only.. but to drive, it has the presence of a much heavier car...

Very easy to mod and increase the power..

Definitly needs large wheels adding and other extras, but insurance is crippling as soon as even the smallest of mods is added... eg performance air filter... let alone front mounted intercooler etc.

And a negative is obviously the fuel consumption... 190 miles to around 60 quid of fuel, but if driven like a tortoise, it can do close to 300 (65 litre tank) (reported figures)

1993 Nissan Skyline GTS-t Type M 2.5 turbo

Summary:

Half the price of a GTR, but with plenty of the power

Faults:

I had to replace the front roll-bar bushes for the first MOT. Apart from that it is even still running the original exhaust, although the Cat' has been removed...

General Comments:

With a small amount of tuning this car is capable of outstripping many other performance vehicles, including bikes at high speed.

If you like rear wheel drive rubber burning power this is ideal, if you don't like going to the petrol station, stay well clear.

Handling is good, but could be improved with lowered and uprated shocks.

The car feels well put together and capable of doing almost anything you ask it to for normal or fast road use.

With the type M body kit the looks are understated yet still aggressive enough to look the part.
