1994 Nissan Sunny LX 1.4 petrol

Summary:

The car that will convert you!

Faults:

Nothing except spark plugs when they reached the end of their life, one switch is jammed (in the right place) and the tyres.

General Comments:

This is a seriously useful car.

I'm learning to drive in it and there hasn't been anything I can't do in it.

I don't have power steering, yet I can still get it parked in seconds!

The power is very good as well, it's there on tap for when I need it!

The cabin is well thought of, with all switches right where you need them. You get the feeling that they thought of everything.

I love this car and everything about it, and for £400 who can blame me?

I fully agree, just wrote my review. It has some sort of finesse I call it, it just makes you fall in love with it. All my buddies love it, I love it, Most of the small town I live in love it. Am specifically talking about Nissan Sunny hatchback 1.4 LX.

1994 Nissan Sunny Sabre 1.4

Summary:

The best cars on the road

Faults:

Absolutely nothing.

General Comments:

The car has proven itself to be very reliable; it has never let me down.

The engine has proven itself to be excellent, as it never burnt a drop of oil, and requires very little maintenance, due to it having a cam chain.

The interior is a little dated, but hey, it's 12 years old, so what do you expect?

I would highly recommend one of these cars to anyone who is looking for a cheap and ultra reliable runaround, that requires little or no maintenance.

It's not too bad on fuel either; around 35-40mpg, depending on what kind of driving you do.

All in all, it's a super little car, that will go on and on forever, due to Nissan's excellent build quality.

Dead right I bought one there two weeks ago from a relative. 107K miles on the clock and it runs like new! any maintenance needing to do you can do yourself because its such a simple engine! powerful and nippy too! GREAT CAR! And parts are really cheap due to the high volume they were produced in!

1994 Nissan Sunny LX 1.4 petrol

Summary:

A cheap, reliable car that loves hard driving

Faults:

"New" Starter & "new" Alternator at about 110,000 miles.

Drivers Door Handle on inside fell off.

General Comments:

It can accelerate hard for a 1.4, especially when the revs come up & you know that you can red-line it without fear with the indestructible engine.

Heavy on fuel.

Nice driving position with multi-adjustable seat, steering is a touch light, pedals are spaced & balanced perfectly. No room in the back seat, but the boot is big.

Looks boring, but drives brillant.

1994 Nissan Sunny SR 1.6

Summary:

A very sporty looking, nippy 1.6

Faults:

Passenger side automatic window went slow going up, but it's now sorted... Other than that, no major problems.

General Comments:

Theres not much bad that can be said about the Nissan Sunny 1.6 SR, below are the few good points which I have come across during the 3 months I've had it;

Very reliable car.

Tremendous road handling.

Beautiful sporty looking car.

Powerful for what it actually is.

Cheap to run.

Nice bucketed seats, comfortable seating.

Many modifications can be done to make it look like a proper beast.

However, the boot space isn't very big, although it is OK.

1994 Nissan Sunny SLX 1.6i petrol

Summary:

Another solid, reliable Nissan!

Faults:

Nothing much. Never let me down.

One of the hydraulic struts on the tailgate disconnects from the ball joint connecting it to the boot itself, but this clips back on. A minor issue. Will get round to replacing eventually.

Gearbox whines a little bit when cold.

General Comments:

A very nice car to drive. Firm suspension so you feel the bumps in the road, but nice handling and light steering.

Good acceleration from the 1.6l, 102BHP engine. Feels like a warm-hatch.

Looks a little dated, but not bad looking at all.

Hardly a mark on this car, it's been well looked after. Much more reliable than my other car, a Vauxhall Cavalier.
