1993 Rover - Austin Mini Sprite 1.3

Summary:

Great car, got it for £1300, bargain as I see it, best car for 18 year old!

Faults:

Stone chip, had to replace headlamp.

No problems through fault of car.

General Comments:

It's a nippy little motor for a mini.

Its like driving a go-kart!

Not too comfortable on long journeys.

Great for inner town/ city driving.

1993 Rover - Austin Mini Sprite 1.3 petrol

Summary:

Top Banana

Faults:

The usual rust.

The turbo housing went bang.

2 gearboxes.

New beam axle.

Get rid of your subframe and put in a beam axle, they don't rust and your car will be a lot lighter.

Coil over springs in 1998.

General Comments:

I installed turbo in 1996.

Zemax body kit in 1999.

Respray in 1999.

The car hits 60 in about 6.86 (proven) and tops out at 108mph.

132 BHP at the flywheel.

This Mini will out handle most other cars on the road and eats the sales reps.

Come on, that is just ridiculous. 138bhp? From an A series?

If it really does produce that kind of bhp I'd like to know what else you've done to it!
