1995 Vauxhall Corsa Montana 1.4

Summary:

Vauxhall's pride and joy

Faults:

4 new Tires.

New front brakes and disc's.

New exhaust.

General Comments:

Having driven an Astra of the same year as this car (which I enjoyed driving), I decided on buying a Corsa.

Too say the least, I haven't looked back since! She's a lovely car. I've never had any problems starting her, or with anything else.

Once you get her up to motorway speeds, she'll sit there all day quite happily. I'd definitely recommend this car to someone else.

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone could tell me which models of the Corsa come with what extra's?, I used to drive a Corsa Merit and know that, that particular model comes has nothing, but what about the LS, Breeze, Vegas or Montana, I'm looking for a 3dr 1.2i that has a sunroof and PAS anyone know which model is best to go for?

Thanks,

Good Review.

1995 Vauxhall Corsa LS 1.2

Summary:

Nippy little car

Faults:

Since buying my Corsa last year I have had the following faults:

Alternator Belt snapped off - despite being told it had been replaced in the service before I brought it.

Steering Wheel vibrates when traveling 65 - 70 miles per hour. I have taken it to the garage and had the wheels balances, this has made not difference.

An orange light shows on dash board when traveling 65 - 70 miles per hour. Manual says this is a fault with engine electronics. I have yet to take it to a dealer as my local garage says this is a general fault and probably is nothing.

Perhaps some body could let me know if they have had similar problems.

General Comments:

I think I have been slightly paranoid since purchasing the car as my last car only cost £400.

However fell in love with the car when I first took it for a test drive.

Power steering would have been a bonus, but seems for the money I had a got the best Corsa available.

1995 Vauxhall Corsa SRi 1.4 16v

Summary:

A quick and reliable car

Faults:

My EGR valve started playing up shortly after buying the car, So the ECU light kept coming on. The heat shield on the manifold is loose and makes a loud rattling noise. The hose from the expansion tank to the engine block also split.

General Comments:

For the engine size it is very quick. I am quite surprised with its performance. Also with all the performance parts available to the Corsa theres nothing stopping you taking the car faster. The interior could have been made a bit more lively, but the bucket seats are very comfortable.

I have a V reg Corsa 1.2. My EGR valve has also went. Not something I was expecting and an expense I could have done without.

My EGR valve has just gone too. I find that every time I take this car to the garage it costs me £200. Is it because I'm a girl or do the repairs generally cost more than the worth of the entire car???

1995 Vauxhall Corsa SRi 16v 1.4

Summary:

A quick and exciting car

Faults:

The pipe that goes from the expansion tank to the engine block split at 69,000. It took vauxhall 3 attempts to send the right replacement part! Amd it took them 24 hours to send each part! At first they insisted you can't get a 16v SRi til it was proved to them you can!

General Comments:

The SRi is a really good reliable car.

For its engine size it has really good performance and it always has more to give if you put you foot down a bit more!

The car good on acceleration both in town and on the motorway!

The interior is fairly nice too with bucket seats, but it would be improved if it had electric windows!

Spot on with this comment, the corsa SRi is a great car quick, looks good, reliable, even though I've always driven vauxhalls, and they are great cars.
