2018 Vauxhall Insignia SRi Nav 1.5T petrol
Summary:
Perfect
Faults:
Nothing.
General Comments:
2018 Insignia Grand Sport. The perfect car if all you want is space, comfort, reliability and good running costs.
And did I mention style? My car is metallic black with tinted windows, smoked lenses, rear wiper deleted, and 18 inch diamond cut alloys. De-badged. Everyone admires this car and asks me about and they are surprised to learn it is just a run of the mill Vauxhall.
1.5T petrol engine is punchy, more reliable than the diesels, and you can get a genuine 40 mpg if you drive well.
Interior has everything you would expect in a modern car. SRi Nav is mid range spec and is a good one to go for over lesser trims. You get sports seats and pedals, lowered suspension, and more.
Put decent mileage on it in my two year ownership, mostly up and down the motorways of the UK. Reliable if serviced on time.
Conclusion: show me a better car for the money. I don't think there is one.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Local taxi driver has one of these cars on 130,000 miles. He says they are more reliable than the old Insignia diesel engines. Only thing he has replaced recently is the turbo. Adblu system can sometimes be a pain, and the DPF light has been on but not needed a replacement yet, just a clear out. In all honesty the 1.6 diesel in the newer Insignia is a typical modern diesel engine - it has some common issues, but it is soo economical to run if you take care of it properly, it really is one of the better engines for longevity.
