2013 Volvo S60 T3 R-Design 1.6 petrol

Summary:

Brilliant

Faults:

Brakes needed renewed, calipers at the front as well - quite expensive, but I do drive it hard sometimes, so with that and the mileage it was expected.

ABS light came on - just a sensor but was also quite expensive.

Do the required maintenance and these cars rarely give trouble though.

General Comments:

Very modern looking car for over ten years old now. This S60 combines luxury and a sporty driving experience.

Exterior styling is gorgeous in my opinion. Interior as well.

1.6 petrol is fast and does 35 - 40 mpg on average. It says officially 48 mpg on average is possible but I have never got near that. But I do drive this car fast sometimes. If you want more mpg, go for a diesel. But this 1.6 petrol engine is simpler to maintain and gives less problems than the diesels.

Electric parking brake took a while to get used to, this car is otherwise fine to drive and all the controls are laid out intuitively. T3 R-Design is the spec to have, nice seats and lots of equipment. Fine ride and quiet on motorways.

Love this S60 and hope to keep it a long time!
