2004 Acura RSX Type-S 2.0 from North America

Summary:

Fun, but has tranny problems

Faults:

I have had two major transmission problems. In December of this year my slave cylinder went out. Acura replaced it as it was under warrantly. I just have my clutch replaced. The pressure plate and clutch were worn out to nothing. I only have 44000 miles on the car. I did drive it in Hawaii most of that time and it is hilly there. Is this normal? Shouldn't a clutch last longer? I never raced the car.

General Comments:

This is a fun sports car. It handles really well and it is comfortable to drive.

I never once had a problem with my transmission and I've put 70k on it... and I race it... just learn to drive it.

2004 Acura RSX 2.0 VTec from North America

Summary:

Great car!!! I Love my RSX

Faults:

So far nothing went wrong with the car, except I just got new brake pads and that's it.

It's a reliable and fun sexy car to drive.

General Comments:

Car acceleration could be better, but it's pretty good for a V-4 and 2.0 liters, and is pretty good on gas compared to other cars; 22mpg City, 31mpg Highway.

And you can always depend on the engine and all that mechanical stuff to last you AT LEAST 200,000 miles, and best of all it's AFFORDABLE.

2004 Acura RSX 2.0 litre DOHC, VTEC from North America

Summary:

This car makes routine driving fun!

Faults:

Nothing has gone wrong yet.

General Comments:

This is one sporty, economical little car.

I like the lines and the hatchback versatility.

The acceleration and overall handling is superb.

The fuel economy is excellent.

Due to the stiff suspension and V-rated tires, the ride can be rather choppy on broken pavement.

2004 Acura RSX Type S 2.0 from North America

Summary:

Great

Faults:

Plastic portion of headrest (on drivers seat) kept unfastening... replaced under warranty.

General Comments:

The car has great high end power coming from the factory. Gas mileage is around 31mpg. The tranmission shifts like butter. The suspension is OK, but most people will change it out to get more of a road feel. I'm still on 16's and can really carve some sharp curves.

I definitely get looks in this car. Sometimes too many fan-boys want to race illegitimite cars (Tempos or whatever else they can pull out of the dump) or admire by following you everywhere (like a stalker).
