1991 Acura Vigor LS 4 door sedan 2.5 Liter 5 cylinder. fuel injection from North America

Summary:

Amazing Japanese Engineering!!!

Faults:

After 17 years of continuous ownership, I am on my third battery and my second set of tires. The original Bridgestone tires only lasted 25,000 miles. The Michelin tires appear to be going to last a good deal longer.

The air conditioner no longer works due to leakage and needs to be changed to accommodate newer coolant. I am told that will be pretty expensive.

There is a minor engine oil leak.

It needs a new frame around the left rear mirror (the only damage to the car which was the result of my spouse getting too close to the garage door). Otherwise the car is in mint condition.

General Comments:

The car has been the best car I have ever owned beginning with my first new car in 1955.

One has to climb down into the seat and climb up to get out.

When it was first new and gasoline was cheap I used high octane fuel as recommended. At 135 it seemed a bit light in front. After a couple of years, I became cheap and since 1994, it has only burned regular gasoline. But, of course I no longer test drive it at 100 mph and above.

Although the car is a 1992 model I bought it on June 21,1991 from Gorges-Wittman Auto, Wichita, KS. The color is Rosewood. It was the 353rd of this model produced by Acura.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
