Faults:
Nothing mechanically went wrong. All I had to do mechanically to this car was get it serviced, which involved the usual routine things like replacing drive belts including the cam belt, a radiator hose and the usual oil and filter changes, and brake pads, which you have to do to any car regardless of its make or model.
I had to replace the hood lining as it dropped down, which cost $350 NZD. Also, just before I sold it, I noticed some rust starting to appear around the rear window just inside the boot lid.
General Comments:
This is without a doubt one of the most comfortable, reliable, driver friendly, attractive looking and beautiful cars I have ever owned. My mother has a BMW 320I and The Alfa was a far superior car in my opinion. I cried the day I sold the Alfa.
The only reason I sold the Alfa was that I needed a utility and I had the opportunity to buy a brand new V6 Holden at a good price. If I had the spare garage space, I would still own the Alfa.
