1992 Alfa Romeo 33 1.7 16V from UK and Ireland

Summary:

No regrets in getting the car

Faults:

Nothing much except I broke the timing belt.

I did the top overhaul by changing the valves.

The brakes tend to give way.

The body has started to rust already.

General Comments:

A fantastic car to drive. Will keep until I decide to change to 156 or 147 Selespeed.

1992 Alfa Romeo 33 P4 1.7 16V petrol from UK and Ireland

Faults:

When purchased the rubber mountings for the viscous coupling were replaced.

Brake disks will require replacement when the pads are next changed.

Troublesome aftermarket alarm, which locks the door and arms itself after 20 seconds, even if the keys are still in the car.

General Comments:

Nice car, fair on petrol and also quick. Bought to replace an Alfa 75. I have only owned this car 10,000 miles so it has not had much of a chance to go wrong, but has more than its fair share of squeaks and rattles.

Faults:

4WD sensor blew, gear box noisy, rattles everywhere.

Very quick, but needs time to get warmed up. Very reliable, and much nicer than an Escort. Engine great, build quality poor.
