1987 Audi 4000 S Quattro review from North America
"If you can find a car under 2 grand Canadian buy it"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Virtually nothing has gone wrong with this car.
The original owner had run the car hard.
I had to replace the rear diff seals do to leakage.
Due to an unfortunate accident I had to replace the radiator and the voltage regulator.
The fuel distributer also went on it and I replaced it with a 2.3L unit out of a 87.5 Coupe Gt.
General comments?
This car is hands down the best vehicle I have ever owned.
It gets great gas mileage with great performance.
I am currently getting 26 miles per gallon city driving and 30 miles plus on the highway.
The interior has a perfect layout. Very European in design. Reminds me very much of an Alfa.
My car powers through just about anything. It went through a snow drift well over the hood with out even breaking a sweat.
The diff locks make the car a true dirt road burner.
Buy the car if you can find one!
