2002 Audi S4 2.7 turbo from North America

Summary:

Fun if you have a garage full of mechanics willing to rip your car apart at any moment

Faults:

Better question - what hasn't gone wrong.

In the 4 years I have owned it, I have replaced (in no particular order):

Axles.

Wheel bearings.

Cam cover seals.

Head gasket seal.

Serpentine belt.

Timing belt.

Control arms.

Power steering cooler.

Rack and pinion.

Turbos (yes, both).

Transmission chip.

Head lights.

General Comments:

When this car runs, I love it. Problem is, I always have to keep my fingers crossed when turning it on.

2002 Audi S4 2.7L Twin turbo from North America

Summary:

Performance and class

Faults:

Nothing has TECHNICALLY gone wrong, but there are some issues. I hate the shifter. It's gummy and the throws are long and unsure. The pixels on my on-board computer in the gauges are starting to fade in and out. My girlfriend hates the car. guess that's a negative/positive.

General Comments:

Great car otherwise. Fast, nimble, great sound. It's heavy, and you can feel it in the turns. But it does what it is meant to do. I have heard of people having trouble with Audi service at the dealers, but I haven't taken it in yet. So I'm not sure.

Tires are wearing fast. Probably b/c of my driving. It's comfy on long trips, and very civil around town. I love the car.
