1977 BMW 5 Series 525i double carbs from North America

Summary:

The car I wish I still had, you know, the one your dad talks about with the gleem in his eyes

Faults:

Nothing.

General Comments:

Built like a tank. I owned this car when I was in Germany. It never failed me.

I had the brakes re-done at Bosch dealer, new calipers, rotors, pads, and a new muffler. I ran the car on the autobahn nearly everyday at a average speed of 180km. It had 2 carburetors, 2 air filters, the Germans called it the "last of the German muscle cars". Never had any problems.

It must have weighed 5000lbs, it was solid. Bought it for $1200, had new Fulda tires and a racing steering wheel. Sold it for $1600 years later. No rust under or upper, perfect in and out. Wow... this was how cars once were made.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
