1988 BMW 7 Series 735i review from North America
"A beautiful car to have"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Twisted seat.
Starter motor.
Air conditioning and climate control computer.
OBC lights.
Dashboard instrument lights.
Worn tires.
Muffler hole.
Some lower body rust.
General comments?
Well, this is a fantastic car for handling with good acceleration. Gas mileage is not too bad - the same as my 6 cylinder Astro van, so acceptable.
All the things wrong with it have been fixed, but if you take it to a repair shop, they will charge a lot to work on these vehicles - I did everything myself except for the tires (and air conditioning - don't use it).
When it gets wet, the electronics seem to like to act up - usually just annoying false alarm dashboard bings telling me a parking light is out or something (never has been so far).
