2004 Buick Park Avenue Ultra 3.8L V6 Super from North America

Summary:

Sport Luxury like it should be

Faults:

Not a single problem.

General Comments:

This is one of the greatest cars I have ever owned. I am 35 and my wife is 30. My wife did not want to look at Buicks, but I had her drive the Ultra. We drove Jags, Cads, Lincolns, and BMWs. She came back to the Buick. Her father, a real anti Buick guy, and his wife checked it out also. He had just bought her an Avalon. I thought she was going to kick him after she drove the Buick. It is such a better car. I suggest you just go drive one before you buy any lux-sport car. You will be surprised.

I test drove a Lucerne. It is pretty sweet also.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I believe what the fella was trying to say was that it is a 3.8L supercharged, automatic.

I live in Iowa, and recently bought a 2004 Park Ave Ultra. Prior to that I had a 2006 Buick Lucerne CXL with the same 3800 series engine, and prior to that I had a 2001 Ultra. I had little to no problems with the Ultras. I sold the Lucerne after logging 13,00 miles (took a loss) and bought the 2004 with 47,000 miles on it. I sold the Lucerne because it wasn't the car the Ultra was. The seating was not as comfortable, didn't handle as good, vision from the inside not as good, steering was more of an effort, harder to get in and out of, and the mileage was at least 3-6 MPG less than my Ultras which got 27-30 mpg trip, 24-27 local. I will drive the 2004 Ultra for many years... love this car!! Buick... you made a mistake when you dropped this one!
