2002 Buick Regal GS review from North America
"Impressive Car for the money and very reliable and fast!!!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Need rear brake pads and rotors at 70,000 miles.
Fuel injection cleaning done at 70k.
Serpentine Belt replaced at 70k.
Air and Cabin Filters replaced at 70k.
New tires replaced at 55K.
General comments?
One of the best GM cars ever made, the Buick Regal is about as fast as any foreign car for the price range that it is in. The Regal can do 0-60 mph in just under 7 seconds. For a car that cost almost $30k new; cheaper with the rebates, one cannot pass this deal up. I bought this car over a year ago and have not had one problem with it. I have only replaced the brakes and rotors which are maintenance items anyway.
This car is a real sleeper. If you are at a stoplight and step on the gas it lunges forward like a mountain lion trying to ambush a whitetail deer. Most of your friends if you're young like me will envy your impressive horsepower and gobs of torque (280lbs ft to be exact) this car has. Be careful however because this car can and will get you a speeding ticket for going well over the legal speed limit quickly. The monsoon sound system that comes standard with the GS kicks out impressive sound and has a built in factory amp.
I would definitely recommend this car to anyone looking for great acceleration yet is subdued enough to be a daily driver or family car!
