Summary:
I liked the car, but feel GM should have paid for the head gasket
Faults:
Both front wheel bearings have been replaced.
Head gasket was just replaced at 52,000 miles because it was cracked.
And just today the driver side window won't go back up.
General Comments:
It's comfortable, handles well in the snow- we would have bought another, but not now if GM won't stand behind their product.

Windshield wipers have needed to be replaced and the oil has had to be changed.
General Comments:
I love the Rendezvous... We were looking for the best mileage in an All Wheel Drive vehicle, and after test driving a Honda CRV, Saturn Vue, and a couple of Subarus we decided on the Rendezvous. I have been very pleased with the vehicle. It handled excellently all through the winter months on country roads. It is very roomy, and the seats lay down nicely in the back so one can really haul many things. I think it is a great vehicle and would recommend it to anyone.

Summary:
Poor quality for the price
Faults:
Engine knocking at start up. Sun roof leaked. Handle on hatchback broken.
General Comments:
We are hearing a loud engine knock at start up that two dealers say is normal engine noise, although they cannot show me another car that also has that same noise. The car started making the noise at about 15,000 miles. Now the car has 30,000 miles on it and the warranty will expire soon. I feel like GM knows the problem is serious but is unwilling to admit it and fix it. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Not sure how far to go with it.

My mother owns a 2004 Rendezvous CXL. The engine does knock on occasion, when it does she will fill it up with PREMIUM gas one time, then the next fill will be just REGULAR gas until it knocks again, and then she uses PREMIUM. I don't know if that's silly, but she swears it works and the noise goes away, hopefully it just wants premium gas sometimes and is not too serious.

I love this car and I would buy another one
Faults:
I have had to replace the gas tank. That was about the only thing that has gone wrong with the car. I had to replace the gas tank not because of the cars fault, but because of a piece of the asphalt in the road.
General Comments:
This car is very good. This is the second Rendezevous I have owned and its very good. It way better then the other one I owned. Before I owned a 2004 one and it was basic with leather seats. The one I have now is a 2004 CXL one, but is a cross over to when they started makeing the 2005 cars.
