1992 Buick Skylark review from Luxembourg
"GM should have continued building them"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Engine failed at 110000 Miles. (known problem as per VIN) Replaced it with an overhauled one.
Water seeps in through A/C vent on passenger side. (known problem as per VIN, can be fixed)
Driver's window (manual) difficult to close (sometimes). (known problem as per VIN, there's a cure according to GM service bulletin) )
Cooling Water hose blew apart at 96000 Miles. (died of old age)
Flexible Brake line blew apart on R/L side upon emergency braking. (died of old age)
Fails the exhaust gas test regularly (CO2 of 7% to 16%) if the oxygen sensor isn't replaced just before the test.
General comments?
Nice shape.
Nice cruiser.
Very comfortable.
Spare parts easily available for low prices.
