1992 Chevrolet Chevette 1.6 SL/E review from Uruguay
"Great car, which left a huge hole when discontinued"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing. Ever. (of course, I won't count such things as forgetting to fill the gas tank, or failing to check the battery and getting stuck because of that, that's my fault, not the car's)
General comments?
Most reliable car I have ever had, driven, or am likely to own. My brother bought the car as a supposedly cheap replacement for his worn out Ford Corcel, which I have also reviewed in this site.
Light and precise steering.
Comfortable gearbox.
Great overall controls.
Front seats are uncomfortable and low for tall and big people; back seat is unsuitable for adults.
Knowing its shortcomings before buying the car is easy, so it can be labeled as flawless.
