1968 Chevrolet Nova Base Model 396 V8 from North America

Summary:

Still ahead of its time!

Faults:

Replaced water pump @ 101,000 miles.

General Comments:

They don't make them like this anymore. Compare this compact to current compact cars like the Corolla and Civic, and you will see the great value of the Nova. The Nova offers seating for six adults versus seating for four in the Corolla and Civic. My Nova has the optional 396 cubic inch, 375 HP V8. A V8 (or a six cylinder for that matter) isn't even available as an option in the Corolla or Civic.

Parts for the Nova are cheap and readily available. It has been a reliable, fun to drive vehicle, and is the envy of all my friends who own Japanese cars.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Ya know, this is quite funny. Someone will review a V8 powered car and compare it with the Civic or Corolla.

This is the 21st century. Cars are either 4 cyl or 6 cyl. Gas is too expensive to be driving a V8. People who say things like "The Civic or Toyota isn't even offered in an V8" are obviously blatantly millionaires, or something. You must have a lot of money to go on about things like that. Then again, you didn't even mention gas mileage. That tells me a lot - you're like an advertiser who failed to say that hey there, man. This car rocks. It's fast. But it only gets 10 miles to the gallon!

I wish people would really think before posting reviews.
